Application

To apply for residency please fill in the form below. Your information will be saved for when new residencies are being planned and as soon as there may be an opportunity for you to join, you will be contacted. For updates on current events and plans you may connect to the organization on facebook.com/pedrasina. To receive notifications specifically on residency planning please connect to our facebook group.

Form fields marked with * should be filled in. In the 'Collaborator(s)' field you may specify names of any collaborators that will be joining in your residency (specify in the comments field whether you will need separate rooms). For your artist's statement and project description please give short summaries - extended information (C.V., work samples, etc.) can be attached as a PDF file. Note that if a large PDF file is attached submitting the application might take a minute or two (when pressing the button there will not be an immediate response).

Selection process

As per the values of Pedra Sina Residence (see the About page) any application will be openly received. In situations where priorities must be made the following is considered (in order of importance).

• The applicant's motivation for (and originality of) the project.
• How the applicant fits the group of artists being gathered.
• Whether the project matches special interests of the organization.
• Whether a contribution is offered (least important).

Contributions

Financially residency at Pedra Sina Residence works by a model where we are not depending on external funding/approval. Since everyone can contribute what one is able there will also be room for hard-working artists who don't have the financial resources. The standard contribution - to cover basic expenses for one person - is 300 EUR/month. Contributions in the form of artwork will also be appreciated.

Extra service

For artists who wish not to 'waste' time on simple chores some extra service may be provided. If all residents agree to contribute each 100 EUR/month a person can be employed to cook us daily meals, to do shopping/laundry and general housekeeping.
